Relationships between macro-fungal dark diversity and habitat parameters using LiDAR

چکیده
Despite the important role of fungi for ecosystems, relatively little is known about factors underlying dynamics their diversity. Moreover, studies do not typically consider dark diversity: species absent from an otherwise suitable site. Here, we examined potential drivers local fungal diversity in temperate woodland and open habitats using LiDAR in-situ field measurements, combined with a systematically collected geographically comprehensive macro-fungi plant data set. For first time, also estimated pools by considering both co-occurrences. The most variables explaining were amplitude echo ratio, which represent vegetation structure. These results suggest that highest production forests like plantations lowest more woody vegetation. Plant richness was strongest explanatory factor overall negatively correlated Soil fertility showed positive relationship habitats. findings indicate areas high human impact (typically low soil fertility). Overall, this study brings novel insights into patterns, suggesting multitude related to act simultaneously determine

Links between plant and fungal diversity in habitat fragments of coastal shrubland
Habitat fragmentation is widespread across ecosystems, detrimentally affecting biodiversity. Although most habitat fragmentation studies have been conducted on macroscopic organisms, microbial communities and fungal processes may also be threatened by fragmentation. This study investigated whether fragmentation, and the effects of fragmentation on plants, altered fungal diversity and function w...
متن کاملAirborne Lidar for Woodland Habitat Quality Monitoring: Exploring the Significance of Lidar Data Characteristics when Modelling Organism-Habitat Relationships
Structure is a fundamental physical element of habitat, particularly in woodlands, and hence there has been considerable recent uptake of airborne lidar data in forest ecology studies. This paper investigates the significance of lidar data characteristics when modelling organism-habitat relationships, taking a single species case study in a mature woodland ecosystem. We re-investigate work on g...
متن کاملon translation of phatic communion and socio-cultural relationships between the characters of the novels
phatic communion is a cultural concept which differs across cultures. according to hofstede (2001), the u.s. tends to have individualistic culture; however, asian countries tend to have collectivistic cultures. these cultures view phatic communion differently. in individualistic cultures like u.s., phatic communion reflects speakers’ socio-cultural relationships in conversations. to see whether...

The molecular marker (SSR) has been used to investigate the markers associated with the agronomic traits including days to 50% flowering, tube ring time, days to maturity, plant height, the number of main stems per plant, the number of tubers per plant, dry matter content, main stem diameter, a single tuber weight, average single tuber weight, and the total yield in potato genotypes. Ten primer...
متن کاملHabitat Classification of Temperate Marine Macroalgal Communities Using Bathymetric LiDAR
Here, we evaluated the potential of using bathymetric Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) to characterise shallow water (<30 m) benthic habitats of high energy subtidal coastal environments. Habitat classification, quantifying benthic substrata and macroalgal communities, was achieved in this study with the application of LiDAR and underwater video groundtruth data using automated classificatio...
